UDI Lens

Support

UDI Lens scans UDI barcodes on medical device labels (GS1 DataMatrix, GS1-128, GS1 Digital Link, HIBCC), shows expiry, lot and serial numbers, looks up FDA AccessGUDID, and with Connect forwards each scan to your system.

Contact

Email anderson.pa.hu@icloud.com with your iPhone model, iOS version, App version and, for Connect, the support code shown in Settings.

FAQ

Small barcodes won’t scan?

The App zooms about 1.5–2x. Hold the phone 15–25 cm from the label, tap to focus, turn on the torch in low light, and tilt slightly to avoid glare.

Why is there no product information?

AccessGUDID lists only devices marketed in the US. Expiry, lot and serial numbers are still shown from the barcode.

Two barcodes on the box?

GS1-128 and HIBCC sometimes split data into two barcodes. Keep both in view and the App merges them.

Free, Pro and Connect?

Free: unlimited scanning, 5 lookups a day, last 20 scans. Pro: unlimited lookups, batch scanning, CSV export. Connect: everything in Pro plus real-time forwarding to your system. Manage subscriptions in iOS Settings, Apple Account, Subscriptions.

How do I connect our system?

Read the integration guide. Your endpoint verifies an HMAC signature with the API key shown in the App.

Endpoint verification fails?

Your endpoint must answer the endpoint.verification event with HTTP 200 and {"challenge": "<same value>"} within 10 seconds, over HTTPS on port 443 with a valid certificate.

Lost the API key?

Rotate it in the App (Settings, Connect, Rotate key) or in the portal. The old key stays valid for 24 hours.

Where is my data?

Scans stay on your iPhone unless Connect forwards them; forwarded scans are deleted from our servers on delivery. See the privacy policy.
